Fine Art & Graphic Design

ABOUT

Evelia Sowash is a 1986 graduate of The American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. She has been combining her commercial art savvy and traditional fine art education to create popular modern compositions for over thirty years.

Much of her artwork depicts natural environments with an assortment of animals, birds and aquatic life. Fresh, bold and modern remains the style in Evelia’s sought-after richly colored designs which have appeared as wall decor, stationery gifts and fabrics sold all over the world. As an artist and designer, Evelia’s popularity reached new heights when she was selected as The Official Artist for the 2014 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC.

Her influences are many. Among them are early Chinese and Japanese block prints, early American illustrators such as Howard Pyle and N. C. Wyeth along with Arts and Crafts/Prairie Style movements in architecture and interior design.
